The Lisa Kreider Memorial Scholarship Fund proudly awards five $1,000 scholarships to local cosmetology students each year. These scholarships provide financial assistance to deserving individuals to help offset their tuition costs and support their educational journey in the beauty industry. We are committed to nurturing and empowering the next generation of hairdressers, stylists, and beauty professionals who embody the same passion and dedication that Lisa exemplified during her time with us.

Lisa Kreider was a young and vibrant 20 year old who was building a career with us at Yellow Strawberry, she even aspired to be an educator one day. Her life was tragically cut short by a drunk driver in 2007. To keep her memory alive and create a lasting impact in the cosmetology community, our dedicated team, Lisa's family, and our local community raised an incredible $40,000 to endow a grant in her name through the Community Foundation of Sarasota.

The impact of the scholarship program is truly heartwarming. Witnessing Lisa's memory continue to inspire and uplift future local hairdressers brings us immeasurable joy and motivates us to support even more talented individuals on their educational journey.

Satchel’s Last Resort is a no-kill animal shelter/sanctuary whose mission is to Rescue, Rehab and Rehome dogs and cats with nowhere else to go because of breed, behavior or medical issues.
